Lefty Kreh
Author, Writer, Photographer, and World-renowned Fly Fisherman
Bernard “Lefty” Kreh is one of the most respected names in fly fishing — an icon and a legend in the fly fishing arena. Regarded as a world-class master instructor, Lefty has taught fly-casting and fly-fishing techniques for over 60 years. He has fished all over the world, venturing to some of the most secluded, unspoiled parts of the globe to fish some of the most elusive fish on the planet. Lefty has fished with international and national personalities such as, Ernest Hemingway, Fidel Castro, and with most American Presidents since the 50s. He is the most prolific and successful fishing writer in history, selling hundreds of thousands of copies of his works. Lefty has received numerous distinguished awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Sportfishing Association. In 1991, he was honored by the U.S. Postal Service with a postage stamp bearing the image of his famous “Deceiver” fly.
