Gregory Davenport

He has entertained audiences from around the world with his fascinating presentations on life management and wilderness survival topics. Greg’s extensive experience in global survival and emergency medicine are key to his insightful, yet practical, approach to life situations. One of the world’s foremost authorities on global survival,Greg Davenport is the author of six books. His first book, Wilderness Survival, is the leading book on the subject. Greg was the host of the History Channel show “Risk Takers/History Makers” and has hosted several other outdoor-related programs. He is a regular guest and consultant on TV programs and news media related to outdoor adventure.
Mr. Davenport served in the United States Air Force (USAF) between 1982 and 1991. He is a former USAF Survival, Evasion, Resistance, & Escape (SERE) instructor. After attaining a degree in Survival Search and Rescue, Greg received his Physician Assistant training from the University of Washington’s Medical School. Since that time he has worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in addition to making numerous trips into the great outdoors, survival seminars, and public speaking events.
